At first I was optimistic but eventually I realized that the story was a vehicle for Christian propaganda and pretty much followed the old conservative line. The plot simply did not live up to expectations. Although I agree with some of the premise, Freedom, individualism, human rights, as usual with Christian proselytizing and propaganda, the story seems to promote the contrary on certain issues. The last chapter appears to be complete propaganda for Christianity. As for the end of the story, it is lame, and counterproductive. In short, all of the optimistic expectations and promises in the beginning and thru-out the plot simply never happen. This novel could be a campaign pamphlet for Donald Trump....if Donald was actually a Christian. In fact the savior of America and Freedom in this story is super rich, the father of the main character, a teenage boy. The premise is based on the quest of the boy to travel across country to finally meet his estranged father with the idea that the boy will deliver the "key" to saving the country from decadence and oppression to his father. Spoiler alert It never happens. At least it doesn't happen in this book. Once the boy meets his real father...that pretty much is it. Supposedly the father is going to use his billions to run for president and thus, save the country. Sound familiar? Followers of Jerry Falwell will love it! Me? Not so much!Product details

This story of Fox is truly intriguing. This is the first time I have read a novel of its kind, and I'm honored to have read it. Great job Mr. Lourde!
Pornography is a great summer time read ,you wouldn't put it down The author takes us on a journey of discovery of what can happen when our liberties are taken from us and how easily it could happen.
The greatest conspiracies are the ones you don't hear about. From the time I started this book, until the time I finished it, a large part of it came true. Read this book. And maybe we can stop it from happening before it all comes true. It's terrifying because it's so real.
Want to get an idea where the United States is headed if we stay on our present political course? Robert enlightens us with a good look at just what we are headed for. All in all, a great read.
If you read one book this year, Pornography is the book you need to read. Well written insight into the political landscape which takes place in the not too distant future.
This author has an incredible understanding of politics and helps the reader appreciate the current state of our political dilemma through an incredibly insightful story. I have been reading science fiction for years and found Pornography an adventure I was not able to put down. Strong leading characters bring you so close to the action you are engaged right to the last page.
I can't wait for the movie!

Synopsis This novel begins with the adventure of a teenage boy who never knew his parents and was being raised by his Aunt and Uncle. Home schooled, well educated, and traveling alone, he embarks on a journey west to deliver a cypher to his father whom he has never met. In fact, he never knew either of his parents. His mother had passed away and although his father was very much alive, the young man never knew of his father’s whereabouts. This was a best kept secret for the young man’s protection that only a hand full of people were privy to.
During his travels, he is witness to a murder, and hunted down and left for dead in the desert. The story held me captive through a series of challenging events for young Alistair (Allie) Fox Cortez Beaumont, a fifteen year old boy with a high level of intelligence. The creation of the character to be both an intelligent young man and still obtain his actions of that of a young teen was clever on the part of the author. During the novel, the character of Fox would not have been Fox without both traits. During his travels he attempted to avoid those that would do him harm and dodge the chaos that the Government was in control of. This did not always work to his benefit.
I became drawn in to the story which for me began with Fox’s initial meeting with the “Crazy”, Clayton Howard Baxter. Not knowing this at the time, Clayton was a longtime best friend and colleague of Allie’s, (Fox’s), father David Cortez. Within a very short time of meeting each other, Clayton explains to Fox, all about his father. Clayton lets him know of the promise that he and his father had made a long time ago. Clayton notifies Fox that he, (Clayton), Fox, and his father would save the country but it can’t be done without the aid of young Fox.
At this point, here is this young man who up until this point in time had never left the town where he was born and was now traveling alone by train to a city far away. He has to leave his Aunt Bridget and Uncle Max and his best friend Anna for the very first time. Packed only with a SMART device, an extra finger, and the cypher which he is sent to deliver to his father, he boards a train heading west to San Francisco.
His adventure leads him to make several acquaintances of strangers such as ACE and Jade, the latter being, “the angel in the ocean of sand”. On the train ride he sees people acting without a spirit or soul, without adventure or fulfillment in life, and with what seems no will to live, as they merely seem to exist. He also met up with Issa Farouk, and the likes of Marshall Harris, Mohammed, and others bent on administering terror to young Fox for what he possessed, while narrowly escaping from these meetings with his life. Fox goes on to meet with Michael Singer a close friend of David Cortez.
The “Author” knocked it out of the park bringing together this adventure of a young man and a small group of determined Americans who would risk everything important to them but nothing as important as winning their country back from a chaotic government.
It was easy to relate to this novel because manufacturing is gone long ago and the government only cares about the power and programs which give more away and spend more which seems to be like similar situations that are occurring with our government today.
Citing the political abused agendas.
• Waste spending
• The programs or lack of, that benefit so few
• The entitlements
• The lack of ownership of these programs instituted by government officials
• The negative and irreversible progression to bankruptcy which has weakened the military strength in our nation.
This novel is a fine line between Fact and Fiction.
The ending was fitting for this novel. I feel that I would enjoy knowing more about the future exploits of young Alistair “Fox” Cortez and the journey with his father who was fulfilling a destiny that Fox was never made aware of until now which began “before his first breath”. And, what of his beloved Anna? Will she and Fox become an item? I’ll wait patiently for a sequel.
Reviewers Notes I enjoyed the story from beginning to end. This was my first read and I originally found reading from a uncomfortable. It made the pages seem short and the chapters very long. But, into the second or third chapter, this was no longer an issue.
The Title “PORNOGRAPHY” was not appealing to me but of course is the Author’s choice. If I saw this Title on the shelf at a bookstore I would have related it to something sexually explicit and would not have reached for it. I could have fared with “Porn-olitics”, “The Youngest American”, or “The Last American”. Quite possibly the Author is saving other titles for Book Two!
Sorry to say, (for me personally), that I had to look up the meaning of many words, my bad. After looking them up the Author was again, right on.
In lieu of Chapter Names, the Author applied “Quotes” by “Clayton Howard Baxter” which I found to my liking. You have the option to read the quote at the beginning of a Chapter and make your own assumption to their meaning in the text of that chapter. I thought this was carefully thought out.
Overall, I found the characters to fit right into the story. They were engaging, believable, and their relationship to each other and to their character really seemed to mesh.
My favorite parts of the book were the areas that the Author had written in italics and what I believe was a communication from the Author to anyone who reads this book. I also fully enjoyed the entire adventure that Fox underwent since he left home until he met his father for the first time.
I should mention that I read this novel twice. The first read was good and I understood what the Author was trying to express. The second time I read it, I felt that I had absorbed not only the story but a message which I thought the Author was trying to communicate through his writing. I highly recommend reading this novel.
People that would enjoy this book include those that are into Politics, Conspiracy Theories, and those that just enjoy a good adventure.
